Dr. Hans Brockhoff focuses his practice on head and neck cancer with a specific interest in oral cancer, odontogenic tumors such as ameloblastoma, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and facial reconstruction with microvascular free tissue transfer or “free flap.” Dr. Brockhoff has special interest in the study of oral squamous cell carcinoma, and the surgical removal of cancer with immediate reconstruction using free tissue transfer. He also specializes in the reconstruction of the upper and lower jaw using the fibula free flap to return the patient to both near pre operative function and aesthetics. He is also facile in soft tissue reconstruction of the facial and oral tissues including the tongue, lip, and nose.
Dr. Brockhoff is a surgical partner at West Texas Maxillofacial Surgery and has operating privileges at both University Medical Center / Children's Hospital and Del Sol Hopsital, Level I and Level II trauma centers respectively, where he covers the facial trauma that comes through emergency departments, thereby providing craniomaxillofacial surgery services to West Texas’ and Southern New Mexico's most severely injured patients.
